Edited on Mon Jan-29-07 10:31 PM by originalpckelly
Resolved: The concerned citizens of Democratic Underground have decided to form an electronic congress to address President Bush's power grab, announced today in the New York Times:

*As in these types of Congress:

4. I'm glad, this is too far now. He's really pushing and it's high time that something...
starts to do whatever we can legally to end this madness.

6. History is now looking upon this country...
if historians are around in decades hence, they will surely be dismayed that we've allowed this tyrant to gain so much power, without a serious challenge.

We will do all that we can legally to defeat this power grab.

7. From the first wiki link

*snip*

This Congress is viewed by some as the first American action in or as a precursor of the American Revolution.

8. Oh dear, well lets hope it doesn't go that far...
because I don't think that's legal. :-) I'm quite convinced that isn't. In fact advocating revolution with force is against the law.

Don't worry agent mike, there's no need to play hangmen with our IPs and user names. We're just kind of ticked off at your boss and want him to stop this BS already. We're forming our congress for that purpose.

12. Indeed!

We'll probably draft some sort of demand for action from the Congress of The United States on this matter.

9. We're to 8, but we need about 12 more...
that way we'll have good number of people to debate this and vote.

10. We must take action...
any stalling now just affords more opportunities for these people to gain more power.
