Truth be known, I can't think of a single time a famous person got fired for an anti gay comment, no matter how bad it was. Lately we have seen Ann Coulter and Isaiah Washington get by with calling people faggot. Admittedly Tim Hardaway did get some penalty for his truely hideous comments after Amechei came out of the closet. The market place of ideas shouldn't accept calling people epithets. No one should be paid to say that kind of crap. We don't let Klan members have access to our airwaves. No one would publish the Klan manifesto. Why is it OK for people to use fag? Why is Ann Coulter still on the air? Is it really OK to call people fag? Is there anything too bad to say about gays? Is so, what is it?

3. It's Unreal. The Biggest Reason Why My Jaw Dropped So Much Is Because

the story header on CNN.com said "Teacher punished after editorial on gays". When clicking on the link I though for certain, undoubtedly, without second thought, that the article was going to be about some ignorant dumbass teacher that wrote some editorial bashing gays or something. But to find just the opposite, that she merely allowed an editorial supporting SIMPLE HUMAN FUCKING DECENCY, has me still in utter disbelief.

I tried to write an editorial with a similar viewpoint when I was in high school but the teacher wouldn't run it. No I didn't say I was gay or even knew gays but instead that different people should be treated decently. I guess this might explain why he wouldn't run it. It still doesn't seem fair given the number of times I was called faggot to my face.

Then just tell the authorities (if necessary) that you reacted that way because you felt threatened by their hate speech and felt the need to defend yourself.
