Edited on Mon Jan-22-07 06:42 PM by cynatnite
He was speaking about the talks with Sadat.

He doesn't look good, folks. :scared: He looks so frail.

2. Maybe it's just been too long since I'd seen him...
I just didn't think he looked very good at all even for his age.

For a guy of 83 he looked pretty hale and hardy to me...

5. Yup, just saw it. Amazing how one can have Christian views and not jam them down people's throats.
He never before mentioned that he went and prayed for strength before he confronted Sadat. Carter is a real Christian compared to the Faux Christian that we currently have occupying the WH.

8. I've gained a whole new appreciation for him after reading his book, not the latest one, but the one
before that.

9. He looked and sounded great during his Ford eulogy!!
I am also thrilled about the initiative by him and Bill Clinton to form a group within the Southern Baptists to challenge the takeover of that denomination by the far right republican hate crowd.

15. Link to Southern Baptists group
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/01/20/AR2007012001295.html?nav=rss_nation

There were a couple of DU posts about it but they got no attention and a search fails to turn them up now. I think that it could produce some interesting results. If you read the article, make note of the hateful comments by Land. This obviously is striking a nerve.
