The next few weeks will decide whether it's gonna be "WWIII" or "shrubco is out the door"?

The next few weeks will decide whether it's gonna be "WWIII" or "shrubco is out the door"?
Am I being too dramatic when I sit here and think that what plays out in Washington (and elsewhere) in the next few weeks will determine if we will be 'well on our wasy' to fomenting WWIII (by attacking Iran) or that shrubco and the neocons will have their power stripped from them in realistic/tangible ways that we can all observe/rejoice in?

I feel like this country is walking on eggshells wondering which way it will go....or perhaps it's just me 'projecting' what I feel onto everybody else. I've held off making some decisions that I said I would make after the first of the year. Now I'm going to wait until perhaps March/April to make those moves/decisions, but I sit here and think, "maybe I'm being too dramatic" and the next few months won't reveal such severe moves one way or the other.

What do you all think? Does THAT MUCH hang in the balance in the next few weeks? WWIII vs. a New (presumably better) leadership in the Executive Branch?

TIA,
M_Y_H

1. Bush has just claimed a whole bunch of major power...
I don't think he's going out without the will of Congress being exercised.

2. Question is, does congress really have the will??
They can`t pass a clean minimum wage bill. How in the hell are they ever going to agree to take down the little wanna-be dictator??

4. I've been listening to Malloy and he's in the same place that you/we all are
Not if, but when?
And what are we/what can we do about it?
Can we do anything before it's too late, and what do we do after the chimp tries to bring on the "end times"?

7. Yes, what MORE can we do about it?
I was thinking too about the saying that is being applied to *co, you know, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity.

Well, we've protested (I was out there, with my children, in the freezing cold in the heart of Repub country with only 300 or so (b/c it's a RICH area and most here are making a TON w/the right stocks ;-), dont'cha know ) of my fellow patriotic fellows before the shock-and-awe of Iraq began. At that time I, like MILLIONS around the world, felt we had to stop the 'evil genie from getting out of the bottle' and now an even GREATER 'evil genie' looks like it's poised to be released. We wrote letters. We called. We faxed. It didn't change a THING!

I like MILLIONS of others want to stop it. What we've done so far, didn't work.....this is greater still, so 'the same method' won't stop this either. General strike? Everyone stop, sit down, don't work for a day (or longer?)???? I dunno. Greater minds than mine are out there....why aren't those minds/people 'leading'? Anyone? Maybe they are and I just don't see it, but for the love of G-d (or the love of anything else you hold dear...life, liberty, pursuit of happiness, etc.), this insanity of endless war/empire must STOP!

Any semi-religious person knows that God's not coming just cause the monkey man rings the doorbell.

Yep. There is definitely a 'spiritual battle/element' being waged/at play here as well that I would guess most people don't recognize. But for 'practicality's sake, we best not "go there"?

Peace,
M_Y_H

8. I like the strike idea
We should get thousands together to say this week we stop and sit, next week we stand and march. We should not carry signs and wear neat shirts, but march on the capital to demand that the government change now. We should be prepared to clog the street in front of the buildings in DC like so much human cholesterol and refuse to move.

5. We were told we were going to cut off funding for the surge...
That went out the window.

"Impeachment is off the table".

We have been so screwed by the hawkish DLC chapter of the democratic party.
