a hard worker with a good middle class job (the kind you're always promising) just lost his or her job and cannot afford Cobra. That same person better not lose coverage for a significant amount of time, or else it's going to be harder to get private insurance.
hard workers with good jobs who thought they had great insurance each got a &20,000+ bill for the "too experimental for us to pony up" treatments they needed, yet bonuses are flying out the door for insurance company executives.
a hard worker just got a new job but must wait up to a year before any kind of health insurance benefits kick in. Oops! It's with a different network that doesn't include his or her specialist.
another hard worker who could only find two part-time jobs won't get insurance from either.
another self-employed hard worker (the kind you keep saying are the backbone of our great society) trying to get his business off the ground couldn't afford a policy that would actually do any good.
another stressed out hard worker with a company plan has hypertension and was surprised to find his policy wouldn't cover the surgery for his near-fatal heart attack because of his "pre-existing" condition. Instead, the company politely canceled his policy.
while you were messin' around, someone died because they didn't have insurance, or because they lost insurance, or because their insurance simply refused to pay.
They hate the poor, including the working poor. Why do they now target the middle class? Why destroy the every day consumer? To what end?
I keep on hearing the anecdotes about Canada and the UK and the "long waits for surgery" and the "substandard facilities that make Canadians come across the border"...where the American hospital bills Canada, not the patient. I have yet to meet a single European or Canadian who would give up their health care system.
I keep on hearing that "America isn't ready for European style socialized health plans", but I hear it coming from lawmakers with....European style socialized health plans (from career to grave, virtually 100% coverage, dental included). How is it they can convince the idiotic half of the country that America isn't ready for the same health care they themselves receive?
I suppose the only way to get ALL of the money is to conquer, because you know how these people hate spending principle.
