Up Or Down. - So What Are You Going To Do? - 25 Feb 10
.

The people of USA voted for Democratic members of Congress and a Democratic President to GOVERN. The members of the Democratic Party have exhausted every possible excuse trying to avoid doing the right thing. Yes - you are now adults, in charge, and responsible.

Doing nothing is not an option, never was. All members of the Democratic Party have run out of excuses. No more half-stepping, no more posturing. No more 'sun was in my eyes and it was too dark to see, the world is flat no body likes me' excuses. Govern already.

Bring the major legislative action on Health Care to an "Up Or Down - Majority Rules" vote. No excuses. Additionally, should any piece of Democratic legislation be threatened with a filibuster by any one, the Democratic Party response MUST be "Majority rules, bring it to the floor. Give the piece of legislation an up or down vote."

'Fish or cut bait' time. Bring on the vote. Vote it up. GOVERN!

Govern and the people will support the leadership. Do nothing and the Democratic Party deserves nothing but the people's scorn.

So what do you do now?

1. They need to push back ...
Scrap this mess and give us a real bill with a single payer option. No more of this and people making excuses for them. They need to stop lying from the top down and do something for the people who need it most. Us. The middle class and poor who are now one and the same.

2. Up or Wrong.
Your post is dead on. It's time to step up. Anyone who says "kill the bill" is saying "kill health care reform for a generation". That's not acceptable. Let's deny teabaggers their victory lap. House must pass Senate Bill then fix the bill as best we can via reconciliation. Move on!

I do NOT consider this to be 'reform' of any shape or kind, and as such I do not support this bill. I would support REAL reform, which would entail reigning in Big Med. Well, the opposite has happened. Big Med is now Big Med Fed.

That is not reform. That is mandating the purchase of a crappy, over-priced quasi-product from a private, FOR PROFIT corporation as a requirement for legal citizenship. This new quasi federal agency has the power of the IRS to enforce.

No, sir, this is not reform. That is a royal screwing.

4. Take out mandatory insurance
Do that and the bill becomes popular. Leave it in and hand the Republicans the issue which they use to take back Congress with in 2010.
