YooHoo :waves: Hello-Oh ..... Hey! Over here! .......
Edited on Fri Feb-26-10 02:13 PM by Stinky The Clown
All through this health care debate/debacle, the only group with essentially no representation was you and me. The people.

Let me start by saying that the repubicans are lower than whale shit. They are the lowest of the low. They have to look up to see down. When they go to Hell, they'll be climbing up. For them, it is all about winning and all about regaining power. Their disdain for the people is stunning.

The Democrats are better, but not by much. Single payer was never considered. In their own quest to be loved by all, they gave away the farm and got nothing in return. Any moron observing the goings on sees that the Dems are no less a group of corporate protectors than any repubican.

When do we stop being ignored in the period between the day after election day and the months leading up to the next election.

Who cares about US?

How do we get their attention?

YooHoo :waves: Hello-Oh ..... Hey! Over here! .......

edit to change "moths" to "months"

2. When you figure out how to win with a 3rd party give me a holler
Until then we will never be represented.

But you knew that already.

7. When you figure out how we win with 2 parties, let me know.
You can vote for loss and devastation or bullshit artists and more loss. With a 3rd party at least Party 1 and 2 realize you mean business. Maybe you'll lose the first time. But maybe you'll transform the political landscape.

10. My thoughts exactly
See my other post. I'm having buyer's remorse. I wish I had voted for Cynthia McKinney like my friend did. He's not dealing with the hangover like I am. He knew this boss was going to be similar to the old boss and he did a protest vote. I've never done a protest vote but it's looking very good to me about now.

3. When do we stop being ignored?
When we get the money out of politics.

Until then, our voices are kinda drowned out by all that cash.

4. Not waving but drowning.
Stevie Smith - Not Waving But Drowning

Nobody heard him, the dead man,
But still he lay moaning:
I was much further out than you thought
And not waving but drowning.

Poor chap, he always loved larking
And now he's dead
It must have been too cold for him his heart gave way,
They said.

Oh, no no no, it was too cold always
(Still the dead one lay moaning)
I was much too far out all my life
And not waving but drowning.

5. we the people don't matter a damn to the powers that be. as robert fisk said, once elected, the
reps forget who elected them, and only care about power and money.

9. What if the Democrats aren't spineless but instead
Edited on Sat Feb-27-10 06:30 AM by tavalon
are actively working against We The People? It's a thought that just won't go away for me. As well, what if their biggest job is getting us to root for the home team just as though they are our favorite sports team? Yay, Democrats!!!

I know I'm supposed to jump up and down and scream for universal healthcare or at the very least, a robust public option (what the hell is robust about anything but universal healthcare) but I just can't get it up one last time. This is a farce, a Dog and Pony show and I, for one, am done. I'm done taking one for the team. It's bullshit and I'm tired of pretending it is anything but a three card monty.
