Here's my suggestion for HCR:

TWO health plans. One for Democrats. One for Republicans. Independents & non-voters can go either way.

Democrat's plan: Medicare for all available on a sliding-scale basis, based on income - or lack of it. Plan would be open to ALL the uninsured & uninsurable. Anyone who likes their insurance, & can afford to, can keep it, 30-75% increases and all. Others can change over to Medicare for all. Tax cuts to businesses who give fully-paid health insurance to their employees. Wellness care, dental and eyecare included. Donut holes will close. Access to purchasing Canadian drugs, although it won't be necessary. This plan would go into effect immediately.

Republican's plan: Status Quo, with the exception of having to pay for the 30-75% increases in health insurance and pharmaceutical drugs. The good news is they will be able to buy across state lines and, by showing their Voters Registration Card (Republican), there will be Tort Reform, and if they get in an accident, they will be S.O.L.; as will those with pre-existing conditions.

2. YES! Have them put THEIR money where their mouth is, instead of OUR money!

The only thing I would add is that Republican politicians would have to wait in line before their affiliation and new coverage would kick in. A few months without any health coverage at all, perhaps.

5. I like it! Or in the real world the Dems could do this.

Dems are not very good at speaking at the level of a third grader but they should re-frame this HCR debate to these talking points. they must LOUD and OFTEN:

1. If you are happy with the "donought hole" in Medicare that the Bush administration pushed through in the middle of the night vote for the GOP.

2. If you are happy that insurance companies get to decide your treatment vote for the GOP
3. If you are happy that insurance companies can deny you insurace for a pre-existing condition, vote for the GOP
4. If you are happy with the recent increases in your healtcare premiums, vote for the GOP
5. If you are happy with the lies the Teabaggers are telling, vote GOP.
6. If you think the government should stop giving any kind of assistance to working men and women,
vote for the GOP.
7. If your health insurance premiums HAVE NOT risen over the past two years, vote for the GOP.

Dems, please grow a spine.

7. "Their" bill gives them everything they (say they) want...

...forgiving people that we Dems are, once they see the error of their ways, we'll let them come over to our side. The pool is warm & we've got plenty of Kool-Aid... even grape! ;-)

8. Tremendous! In the republican plan, if they lose their insurance due to job, loss,

they are S.O.L. No COBRA. No Medicaid.
