7. I remember.

Medicare Part D and that was the day I canceled my AARP membership. I don't recall the Reconciliation as I was not aware of that issue. The media didn't think it important.

8. The other "biggy" they don't seem to want to recollect

is Medicare Advantage. They claimed it would dramatically cut health costs for seniors, but instead, caused drug prices to skyrocket and created the non infamous "donut hole." Medicare Advantage was a huge piece of legislation, and it was passed by reconciliation. Reconciliation is just fine and dandy for repukes as long as it's working to pass what they want... Heaven Forbid the Dems suggest using it.

12. I' m on Medicare Part D...

In January, one of my most important prescriptions went from $14 to $90. I'm in the process of changing prescriptions for the same illness. I hope it works as well. Remember that little clause that prevents the government from importing drugs or negotiating with the drug companies? Greed wins every time. (This prescription is a generic).

All the Republicans had to do was call us unpatriotic afer 9/11 and we ran. It took most of America seven or so years to finally realize that they had a corrupt administration. The media had a huge part in it, too. They gave Bush a free ride from the beginning. I guess we know by now who owns and controls the mainstream media.

This is now. Yep, we were constantly hammered with "the will of the people" and "up or down votes" because the "majority rules." But those are such complicated concepts, it's no wonder the talking chuckleheads can't quite remember them nowadays.

with a friend when I logged on and saw your post. I am so tired of the media and all of these talking heads trying to convince us why the Dems can't do it..

I am also tired of seeing mealy mouth weak Dems like Steny Hoyer trying to explain the Dems position and acting like he is afraid to say how they are going to do it and not pointing out the RepubliCON lies.
