Palin on Leno tonight. Did he have her on so that she could endorse Meg Whitman?

1. Your belief in his conservatism is misplaced. |

Palin is a controversial draw. Even better, she's a Letterman target and vice versa. With Palin, he stands a chance of drawing Letterman viewers to see what she might say.

4. My belief in his 'anything for ratings' philosophy is not. |
|
Few of the Fox News anchors believe the concepts that come out of their own mouths. But they will do anything for their egos and bank accounts.
Same with Leno.

My teevee will be switching between the Colbert Report and David Letterman (thank goodness for TIVO).
Leno's desperate for eyeballs for his "premier" week and doesn't care who "balls" they are. Sure aren't gonna be mine.

3. We admire your strict morality. |

Sadly, I don't believe you stood up for Leno when O'Brien stole his high-rated show from him with a happy smirk.

10. Conan "stole " HIS" show? You are kidding? THe contract for Conan stipulated his takeover |
|
5 years in advance. Conan passed up lucrative deals waiting. Then Jay didn't want to leave. Too bad. Jay screwed Lettermen out of the Tonight Show initially.Johnny Carson picked Dave and Jay blackmailed a TV exec. That is common knowledge.Dave even referred to it recently during the current carnage.

12. O'Brien Stole His Show??? |
|
Hmmm...am I missing some good stuff going around town???
Firstly, it's no one's show but NBC's. They struck a deal with O'Brien to host the Tonight Show when Leno "retired" which was the deal that Zucker and Leno began to undermine the moment Conan took over the show. You sure can't "steal" when you have a signed contract and NBC pays you $45 million to get out from under it.
And speaking of stealing...how's that "headlines" bit Leno stole from Letterman going?
I stopped paying any attention to Leno when he became Ahunuld's campaign manager.

8. Whitman doesn need Palin's endorsement |
|
She's going to buy herself the governorship with her own money, or so she thinks. I just hope the CA voters don't fall for it.
We got Arnold because there was no primary during the Recall election. Arnold is far too liberal on social issues to ever have made it through the CA primary process. That's probably why Tom Campbell dropped out of the governor's race. He didn't have the money or the socially conservative credentials to have any shot of winning the primary. So he'll try for Boxer's seat where he will still have to compete against Carly Fiorino. Ugh.

13. Too bad controversy creates such ratings. Leno is a just like any banking or insurance CEO, laughing |
|
all the way to the bank. He doesn't care who he screws over, just as long as he continues to get paid.
