21. Matthews was rude but Conway was impressive.

Conway had the facts at his disposal to smoothly counter Matthews' rapid-fire attempt to compel Conway to put down the Democratic leadership. Conway mentioned three distinct ways to save money on the federal deficit. Despite the attempt by Matthews to say that now, after many deficit-busting actions by the previous administration and the previous congresses, now, when we need to address so many concerns here, now we need to stop borrowing from foreigners. I'm not a fan of it myself but things are pretty bad, I'm told.

Conway was un-flustered. I'd say he's going places.

to corner the Democratic senatorial candidate Jack Conway about how Conway would fix the deficit. The he refused to let Conway answer and really didn't let Conway discuss the stunt that Bunning was pulling. Apparently, Matthews believes that this stunt is an honorable way to get the deficit under control.
