Rush Limbaugh
For reporting that is an embarrassment to the profession of journalism, and for being beholden to corporate paymasters rather than the citizens of America.
Much like everyone else with the sense to do so, we haven't been paying much attention to radio talk show blowhard Rush Limbaugh lately. Maybe it's doctor's orders, or maybe just because the guy seems crazier and less relevant every day.
But when he took to the airwaves to denounce House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as doing the exact same thing as psychos who convince parents to strap explosives onto their unwitting children? Well, we hate to admit it, but we had to listen in on that bizarre argument.
What would cause the otherwise respectful Limbaugh to call the speaker of the House a terrorist? Think Progress sets the scene for us:
On ABC’s This Week last Sunday, host Elizabeth Vargas asked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) what she would say to her members “who are in real fear of losing their seats in November” when it comes time for the House to vote on health care reform again. Pelosi replied that “we are not here just to self perpetuate our service in Congress. We’re here to do the job for the American people.” The comment was interpreted as Pelosi saying that lawmakers should sacrifice their jobs for health care reform.

Of course, Rush had to take it one step too far, as is his modus operandi. Here's his reaction to Pelosi's selflessness:
Here's the way we have to start looking at Nancy Pelosi: Mullah Nancy Bin Pelosi. She's no different than these mullahs and these imams who convince all these people to put bombs on their kids.
So, let's get this straight here. Because Pelosi said that lawmakers should do more than just run for reelection, they're like suicide bombers. Yeah, that makes sense.
