This Coffee Party sham is nothing more than yet another shadow GOP ''grassroots'' group, manufactored out of whole cloth to show, via the corporate media, how upset all the 'liberals' are at the Obama administration.
It's all for show, folks.
Their webpage says very little about what their agenda is... but if you wander over to their Facebook disscussion forum (
http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/coffeeparty ), their right-wing agenda is QUITE clear.
This group is NOT a liberal response to the Tea-Baggers.
The Coffee Party is, instead, a place for ''moderate'' Republicans to protest the Obama administration without having to stand next to the right-wing ''people'' who belong to the Tea Party.
If you've got anything nice to say about the Democrats, or the President, you're not welcome. If you've got any criticism of the GOP - to even include the dirt-bag Tea Partiers, you're not welcome.
The group's entire intent is to break DC gridlock by AGREEING with the Tea Party.
They actively seek to march ALONGSIDE THEM.
Confrontation is to be avoided, while consensus is encouraged, i.e., The Coffee Party is only a kindly-gentler version of the Tea Party.
The only conclusion I can make, is that some ad agents have gotten some of the GOP's money pie, and are trying to put a new face on the Tea-Baggers, to get some ''moderate'' Republicans elected into some solid blue states Congressional seats.
Let's face it, the Tea Baggers can;t grow much more than they have.
This is where they are expanding.
DO NOT HELP FINANCE THIS GROUP... they will use your money to sponsor media ads that claim that even liberals are protesting the 'socilaist' agenda.
DO NOT JOIN THIS GROUP... not unless you like arguing with right-wingers, that is.
I'm sticking around for a while just to warn unsuspecting patriots who pass through thinking that the Coffee Party is a LIBERAL alternative to the Tea-Baggers. It is an alternative to them... a more 'polite' right-wing protest group, and that is all.
