Rush's Frenchified and garishly painted NYC apartment is for sale

Is this where controversial talk show host Rush Limbaugh rests his head after a long day's work? Could be, as he just put this 4,600-square-foot, 4-bedroom Fifth Avenue NYC pad on the market (this is one of the bedrooms in the place) for $13.95 million. Limbaugh bought the 10-room condo under the name R H Trust in 1994, CNN Money reveals.

Pictured above is another bedroom in Rush's opulent pad. Artist Richard Smith painted murals on the ceilings and walls throughout the opulent home, according to the Corcoran.com listing.

"Moldings are hand painted gold leaf. Floors are herringbone mahogany, foyer entry floor is patterned Italian hand-cut marble, and walls are upholstered in silk Damask. There is a separate windowed maid's room w/ bath on the third floor and additional private storage in the basement," the Corcoran.com listing reveals.

I think some designer with a lot of reproduction crap and 80s chandelier inventory took old Rushbo for a ride.

The place looks like it was designed by a wino with bad batch of Thunderbird.

5. "Artist" Richard Smith
Con artist would be more accurate, considering he got someone (I really hope it was Rush) to pay him for his horrible work.

They were talking about this on Stephanie Miller this morning, Jim remarked that it was "Trumptastic".

16. Damn - just think of the cleanup costs for that hazardous waste site!
Maybe the EPA could just declare the entire building a health hazard and get it condemned before anyone dies from exposure.
