even though we just had snow a few days ago and the ground is still moist
It seems we've been water logged here in Atlanta yet, we are getting fire warnings...AND I have seen brush fires.
I don't understand it.

and low humidity will intensify the effect. Hence: the red flag warning.
At least that's the way they work out west.
