BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: It is still possible that a military coup might take place in Iraq if circumstances continue to deteriorate, Iraqi Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi said on Friday.

“A coup is possible to happen if the ruler violated the constitution and law by exclusively dominating military and security decisions,” Hashemi said in a release received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

He said that he is worried because developing democracy in Iraq has been violated.

“Those who claim they are keen to make the political process in Iraq a success should show determination to spread justice, respect the constitution and enforce the law,” he added.

8. Dummya said we brought freedom and democracy to Iraq. I guess they didn't want them. Maybe

we can finally get them back?

In fairness, the Constitution we gave Iraq incorporated all of Sharia law by reference, so it's only democracy and freedom for women, if the men decide to let them have it.
