I just faxed this to her.

The Honorable Blanche Lincoln
United States Senate
355 Dirksen Senate Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20510-0404
Sen. Lincoln,
I just gave $20 to Bill Halter because he supports the public option and you don’t.You probably already know that the public option would save more money than the private insurance only plan the Senate patched together and you probably know that polls consistently show the public option is more popular in your home state than you are. The only reason you could be opposing it is you hope to get work as a lobbyist, CEO, or board member of an insurance or pharma company when you leave office.
What will your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren think of you when they realized you put personal financial gain ahead of a policy that will save taxpayer dollars, lower premiums more, and save more families from financial ruin than the current flawed Senate plan?
You still have time to be part of the solution instead of part of the problem. Please don’t blow this historic moment for our president, our party, and our country by putting your own financial gain ahead of the job you were elected to do.
