Could someone explain WHY Harold Ford is thought of as having an opinion

Could someone explain WHY Harold Ford is thought of as having an opinion
that is worth broadcasting to the nation every other Sunday morning?

The man is a bland spineless twit who is usually introduced as a Democrat so as to "balance" the Republican whore across the table.

His photo is found under "inept" in the dictionary.
