"Democrats" sat on their soft hands while BushCo stacked the Supreme Court. Now the floodgates to legal bribery are open. And there will be no job growth because of Clinton/Gore's NAFTA. But we wont know it's happening because Clinton signed the Telecommunications Act destroying the media.

There is no opposition party to corporatism- should be my sig line I guess.

I understand what you are saying. The party is not representing the base or it's ideals well.
But getting the party back on track is our only hope, I don't think leaving the party will get us anywhere. Maybe if we had a Parlimentary system.

I believe the party is waking up but it is happening Veeeeerrry slowly. The problem is how much damage will be done and how many will suffer in the interim, and will it be in time or will we end up stuck with a 50 year dark age?

Why do corporate lobbyists have the power that they do? Because politicians know that crossing them has consequences. If Democratic voters want any power in this party, they'd better be willing to do the same.

Which was rather predictable the moment they were bailed out with no conditions...well the money was going there anyway, but all those banking institutions that donated to Barack in 2008 are moving their money to GOP congressional races.

If I have any money I'll buy an overall short for October. These guys are rather predictable. Divided government ensures no movement on any new regulation or enforcement in the sector.

24. Not surprising but I'm not agreeing with current "wisdom".

As a party insider through the past couple of elections, registrations soared as a result of how the bush administration ruled. This swell of new blood into the party was looking for strong change of course Democrats have failed to deliver. The swell even occured in Republican districts in my area. Now registrations are not with us. Cynicism is back.

change of direction.
