The health care reform legislation is lousy. I support it.

grudgingly support it, but support it over the status quo. No one has been able to explain to my satisfaction how changes under this legislation will be worse than the status quo. And the status quo is untenable. At least it gets change under way. This endless limbo is insufferable. At least several million people who don't have access to primary care would have that.

I'm sorry, but I don't see how it makes things worse for people who are suffering now.

I was hoping that I might benefit from hcr and have access to affordable medical treatment (I am already fully insured).

I support Obama and know that this shitty bill is the best that the corporations would let us have.

And I think that the $ for the community health centers is a very good thing..

I've been reading DU this morning and just sitting here thinking about that old song with "clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right." Been mulling over a starting a thread about there being no left or right now, just up or down. This legislation is not what I would like to see. However, I don't see any claim to moral high ground by saying "no" on either side of the debate. It is morally reprehensible to me that someone would deny access to health care for ideological reasons, and this is exactly what the debate has come to now. Couple the political score sheets with a refusal to see what lies ahead realistically, and the carnage left in the wake is unbearable to consider.
