1. I can't say either. My opinion of Kucinich is not a

single issue thing. In some areas, he's terrific, while in others, I disagree with him.

This poll is too simplistic, it seems to me.

Realistically, not so much. I'm afraid I have to live in the society as it is, not as I wish it were. That tends to force me into decisions I'd rather not make from time to time.

While I admire Kucinich's adherence to his ideals, we do not live in Plato's cave. I spend most of my time outside of that place, and have to deal with everything that is out there. For that reason, I cannot support Kucinich in his insistence on an ideal solution to things like HCR.

Single Payer healthcare is not something that is even on the table in 2010. It will not be on the table in 2010. If the alternative to single payer healthcare is no change at all, then I do not support his position. I cannot.

13. I choose none of the choices

I have talked to Kucinich on several occassions and believe him to be a good person. He has lied to me before be it unintentional or not, but like any human he is flawed. I do believe he means well and maybe some ego is involved, but I think Dennis does care. I think he is wrong on this one because he is putting what he hopes for above what the reality is and this can be a problem.

I know I will draw the shallow minded statement of this is not football or some dumb remark, but at the risk of such I will say this. You might intend to build a great football program and have a standard to reach, you have to work your way to it. The Saints under Payton had to give the man 4 years to win a super bowl which is how long it took to get enough in place to do it. Payton had lesser players and even Brees was a question mark at first. As he built off the foundation there was 2 years of no playoffs, but finally he got them to the Super Bowl which they won. I think Dennis doesn't believe that this bill is something we can work on or that we won't work on it anymore, but what he is missing that nothing done means what is in place will continue. We need improvement and what we can get is needed to be done and work to add to it. I think the 37 signed on to a public option can be increased to add that, but to not pass what we have is insuring no chance at all and more abuse by the insurance companies.

You lost me with all that football talk. The analogy isn't even close to what's actually going on. Dennis's point is that the framework is to hand the insurance companies tons of profits and a mandated marketplace, which merely entrenches the problem instead of solving it.

THE problem with the health care system in the US IS the unsurance companies.

I think I stated it well enough if you can't follow then I don't how to make it more simple for you. I will try to state it in the most simple term I know how. Build what you can and improve, but don't expect it to happen all at once. As good as single payer is, it isn't happening but if we work to move closer maybe the climate will get changed enough to make it happen. Problem is it IS NOT going to right now.

I think Kucinich is great on many issues. And I agree with him that this healthcare bill has flaws. But I think he's wrong in not supporting it. Otherwise we'll get NOTHING. NOTHING. And I'm sorry, I'd rather get something than nothing.
