is a realtor in Boise ..... so much for protecting his cows or sheep.

20. People are already allowed to kill a wolf if it is a "problem wolf" and ranchers

..... are paid for any loss of livestock from wolf predation. Salazar allowing
people to kill wolves so they can quench their blood lust and feel like they
are standing up against the tree huggers is just so wrong.

Short story

I went to a conference on ecological restoration and the facts I heard about
the value of having an apex predator to the environment. In and around
Yellowstone having the wolf back has:

Cut losses of sheep and young cows by coyotes
helped the cut-throat trout population
allowed the native plant life to rebound
helped in the over all health of the deer, elk, and bison heards
helped the eagles, hawks, and owls
improved timber quality
brought in lots of tourist money
improved water quality
and in other ways too

I lived and worked in Yellowstone for 3 years, and yeah, the wolves bring in toursit money...there are people who spend their whole vacations there watching the wolves, all day, every day.
