There's also the issue of Rove claiming to know details about the effectiveness of "enhanced interrogation" when only those with top security clearances were supposed to have access to that info and Rove did not have that clearance.

That taken with international law holding policy makers responsible for national policies (and wars of aggression) which lead to crimes against humanity strikes me as plenty of room for international courts (if never our own) to pursue these on-the-record advocates of torture.

Really what is their game, Cheney, Yoo, Rove making these statements? Seems to me they are just daring some courts -- somewhere -- to go after them. And I don't really get the politics of it here either. They aren't going to paint a smiley face on torture or the Bush admin. Cui bono?
