Well I generally already know something of these issues because I google it.

She's full of it.

It's a common tactic. Say something untrue and then make a case that it can be verified so you should trust the speaker when she says it. Unless you already know what the other person is going to say or happen to generally study that topic to begin with, most don't have the wherewithal to effectively refute.

OF course, most forget to google and just subconsciously accept it.

In interesting factoid btw. While looking up cancer survival rates, not only does it vary wildly (which is why they concentrate on British cancer survival instead of cancer survival for the whole world) but it varies in the US based again on where you live.

The state with the best cancer survival rates is Hawaii.

Doesn't Hawaii have a state version of socialized medicine?

checking out lies like Holmes' DURING the show.

Brad Blakeman lied this week on a David Shuster show on MSNBC,
and Shuster did report two days later that Blakeman's claim
was unfactual. Shuster said that the truth DID matter on his
show. Bye, bye, David Shuster.

It was nice that Maher told Holmes that she should read and
reminded her that she is black, but I am not sure I will ever
forgive him for having her on his show again.
