This seems to be the GOP argument against HCR. "Millions have lost their jobs!!!" Okay........so I guess they don't need HC?

1. A little off topic, but this is the reason health care should not be tied to jobs. |
|
Sure you want to have a p/r tax on both employee and employer to pay for a lot of it, but even if you lose your job, or change jobs or get too sick to work, you still have health care.

2. It's a form of wage slavery |

I would go find another job but my family needs health insurance and ours is tied to my job. So, I'm stuck.

4. My dad has been saying this since the late 50’s |
|
Dad didn’t opt in for the health care when he was raising us kids. His boss allowed him to take the amount that would have gone to the insurer and dad saved every penny of it and earned interest on it. That money paid for a lot of thing. Downpayment on the house, his gall bladder operation (he paid cash for it) my brother’s broken arm. But it was my mom that was the true genius about healthcare, by her order we kids were forbidden to get sick or have accidents. And as far as I know the aforementioned brother was the only one to break that rule—but he only did it once

3. right-wing logic is impossible to understand. We can no more make sense of the |
|
reasoning of the right-wingers than we can make sense of the ravings of the unmedicated schizophrenic on the street who squats down in the middle of the block to void his bowels.
Actually, strike that. The unmedicated schizophrenic is generally a nicer and less destructive person than a right-winger.
