Farmington Hills Sam's Club is hiring - Anybody wanna bet on the number of applicants?

My guess? It'll definitely be four figures.

GOPers claim unemployment checks discourage workers from looking for work. I hope the local teevee stations send out the cameras on Wednesday.

Sam�s Club is hiring to fill job openings throughout metro Detroit.

The Farmington Hills location at 32625 Northwestern Highway is hosting an open house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday.

The company is looking for people in its membership and service areas. They include hourly and management positions.

Applicants should bring a resume and be prepared for on-site interviews.

2. I'll tell my out of work cousin in the area

She can't find a job to save her life. And she just keeps trying and trying. And Farmington Hills, really needs the jobs. Heck all of the Detroit area needs the jobs!!

I guarantee the hiring managers will meet a few friends/family in the 1000+ line of people. Think about it... how many of you can see/interview 1000+ people from your town and not likely run into a few old acquaintances or relatives?

Probably somewhere around 2,000 people I bet. There's a new Walmart Supercenter that will open not too far from me soon. I'm sure that store will get just as many applicants.

The first Supercenter open in the Detroit area in 2007. Now there's probably 8-9 with more opening.
