So reads an advertisement on the website UsedWinnipeg.com. But what sounds like a company that deals with wildlife or rodents is actually talking about removing something else.

Native children.

Entitled "Native Extraction Service," the ad ends with:
My service is free because I want to live in the same city you do, a clean one.

Yeah, that's the ticket. A "clean" city, one free of "those" people. Since I'm a white gal living in "Indian country", aka a reservation in SD, I see this kind of attitude ALL THE FUCKING TIME. And they AIN'T JOKING, EITHER. So, anyone who might consider this to be "just a joke" can stuff it and STFU, like, right now. And I can also attest to the statistics of crimes against natives that are cited in the article as well. I got me a front row seat, after all!!!!

Disgusting doesn't even begin to describe it. Excuse me while I go empty my vomit bucket.

9. It puzzles me

When I travelled in Northern Canada and Manitoba, natives were often treated like blacks in the old south.

And yet those same white people would be aghast at anyone showing racism to blacks or asians in their communities. It's really strange.

10. That's the way it is here in SD and other parts of the west

in regards to the native american population. Rapid City, especially, is like a pre-civil-rights-era southern city when it comes to how natives are treated and regarded; it's practically spoon-fed. But those same people are horrified at any racism against blacks, hispanics or asians. Truly mystifying.

I've known some native americans here who've spent time in KY and TN and GA and they say it's the opposite there. They're treated fine, but blacks are a whole other story. Then they come home and it's the opposite here. It puzzles them, too.
