N/T has been used at DU since I have been here. It means "no text." That way, the reader can see that clicking further into the post is unnecessary (saves time), as doing so will reveal no further reading (supposedly).

EOM has also been used at DU since I have been here. It means "end of message" and functions the same as above.

N/C will work for me, but this is the first time I recall seeing its use here at DU (though I have seen it at FreeRepublic).

Many new users fail to use any method, thus resulting in a lot of unnecessary clicking, for which we at DU forgive on a regular basis unless the poster is an asshole, and generally even then.
