The hardhat charged with mercilessly mauling a young nurse in the ladies' room of a midtown pub tearfully admitted attacking the woman during a jailhouse interview Friday.

Wiping away tears, Mbarek Lafream apologized to the victim and said he remembers little about the brutal attack.

"I remember dancing with her, I remember going into the bathroom, I remember her screaming," LaFream told a Daily News reporter at Rikers Island.

Nevertheless, LaFream said he's taking responsibility for attacking the 29-year-old woman and leaving her with a broken eye socket, shattered nose, fractured skull and busted jaw.
