They are changing the Average Final Compensation pay-outs for the Florida Retirement system which could effectively cut the pensions by 50% (HB 1319)
… and reduce the annual credit for service from 3% to 2% (a 33% cut) AND eliminating special risk support for firefighters/police (HB 1543)
.. and cut off Florida Retirement Plan participation for new employees (HB 0413)

Jeb continues to pull the strings behind the scene. But this is also all about the next federal elections and Jeb's support for Marco Rubio’s runs for Senate and his outrage about current Gov Crist’s (R) acceptance of Obama and stimulus money. He wants to force Gov. Crist to have to sign or veto the merit pay bill.
