Bernie Sanders for president!?

I see allot of disappointment of President Obama on this board and I can understand it he hasn't exactly been what we hoped he would be. So I was trying to think of possible candidates for 2012 if for some reason Obama decided not to run again or the Democrats ran someone else. I have heard some people mention Howard Dean and I do like him, but from what I have read about him I really like Bernie Sanders and I was just curios if there was any interest or support for him running? I know this is very very unlikely as I do not think he has the necessary fame to run and he may not be even interested, but I was just wondering if he did run who here would support him and do you think he could win?

You don't have to "disapprove" of the President, but to say you are not at all "disappointed" with the trickle-down economics of the last year, or the fact that this bill was the best we could get (you guys are the ones constantly saying "it isn't perfect/it has problems" but we need to pass it) or the fact that we are going to investigate the criminal misconduct of our government because it would be political uncomfortable, or that we're not aggressively pursuing anti-poverty programs, or that we abandoned EFCA and left Labor hung out to dry....

...each and everyone of those things might have a justification in your mind. Maybe there was no other choice. But they most certainly are disappointing, even if you might argue they are not democrats' fault or the president's fault.

If you're not disappointed about those things.... then wow, you might as well just shit in the faces of the working class.

So I'm not going anywhere. Like I said, you don't have to stop supporting Obama. But if you're not "disappointed" about anything that's happened in the last year, you're saying "let them eat cake" to poor and working class families.

Just because that fact makes you uncomfortable doesn't make it any less true.

You could, on the other hand, say "I support Obama 100% and I'm disappointed with how some things have turned out, but I don't believe it was his fault." Whatever. But saying you're not disappointed at all. That's pathetic.
