Are we socialists yet?

I came downstairs at 5AM with my .357 magnum to make a cup of tea and defend our Democratic home against the swirling horde of the RW Revolution, but there ain't nobody out there. There's a couple of cars going by, maybe some more down by the Turkey Hill, but nothing else. I guess they must be at the closest Federal building, the Post Office over in Laureldale (we don't have one).
Of course it's early and raining a little, so maybe they all stayed home.

Are we all socialists now?

12. I woke up this morning like every other day

the sun was shining
the squirrels were out in the yard doing their thing
the air smelled good with just a touch of chill
cars were going up and down the street
the mail was delivered
the garbage had been picked up
no groups were marching down the street with banners of Lenin or Marx
the world hadn't come to an end


I guess HCR wasn't the end of civilization...
