Last night I was re-energized for the 2010 elections

I was previously not very excited about the elections. I was thinking that I would just vote and that would be it.

Now I feel ready and prepared to donate my time and as much money as I can to help Democrats this November. I intend to vote against Republican obstructionism in the voting booth.

2. Same here. I was pessimistic about maintaining a dem majority and WH

and very worried that our govt would fall to the repbs who would change the balance of power on the high court.

Now I'm again filled with hope and optimism.

7. There is plenty of work to do

It would be wonderful to see a Democratic pick-up in the House and Senate. Against conventional wisdom for off-year elections, but not impossible. Congress needs to expedite more reform legislation (e.g., banking and finance), and Democrats need to grow a spine. Follow President Obama's lead. He came out fighting after the special election debacle in Massachusetts, and just look at the results. That's the approach to counter the GOP's aspirations for a return to power. Democrats need to show some unity and leadership. Speak-up and make the case. HCR is a great victory. Build on it, and run with it.
