write immigration reform?
The pattern seems to fit since chris dodd's finance reform gives more power to the federal reserve which is not accountable to voters, just as this health care bill gives more customers to private insurance.
I will give Obama and the Democrats credit where it's due: on student loans, they did the right thing and took them out of the hands of miscreant banks which saved billions in unnecessary subsidies to the banks. I'm not sure how Democrats can defend not applying the same principle to health insurance. Instead, they have done the OPPOSITE--they have given them customers they didn't have before AND giving our tax dollars to those companies in subsidies. While the effect may be positive relevant to our current system, it grates on me that a single tax dollar is going to end up in the hands of sociopathic insurance execs whose job is to let people die to fatten their paychecks. I would have rather seen a reform that bankrupted thoser business and put their execs in prison or made them homeless, either of which would make them vulnerable to the beating they so richly deserve when their cell or cardboard boxmates find out their former occupation.
I hope we see more action like that done on student loans and none like that done on health care.
