‘Amarica’s Congress Woman’: Rep. Michele Bachmann

Huffington Post’s Jason Linkins discovered something strange when he put “Michele Bachmann” into Yahoo’s search engine on Saturday: Rep. Michele Bachmann’s campaign website says she is “Amarica’s Congress Woman.”

Bachmann’s campaign spelled America wrong in the metatags for her website. And, the presumption that Bachmann is not only Minnesota’s 6th Congressional district congresswoman, but is in fact congresswoman for all of America seems to be a play off of supporters of Rep. Joe Wilson. When he called President Obama a liar in 2009, right-wing conservatives dubbed him “America’s Congressman” complete with t-shirts, bumper stickers and a Facebook fan page.
