It keeps popping up, and I keep clicking "NO," but the next time I move to a different forum or group of "My DU," it pops up again.

I don't have access to the security settings on my browser here at work, and I'm growing a bit weary of having to give Adobe Flashplayer the brush-off.

1. It sounds like you've got spyware.
I don't think I've ever been prompted like that at DU.

4. A possibility, but...
My company uses pretty heavy-duty virus/spyware protection, so I'd be surprised if that were it.

Hmm...

.... I use PortableFirefox at work, and it stops pop-ups very easily.

Surprisingly, it works well with the network at my place, and they're not exactly open around here. It loads onto your USB drive, without any need to install it on your Windows system, so your IT folks won't get upset over any "unauthorized" software that's on the hard drive.

Heck, I no longer touch Internet Explorer; even the new version 7's been nothing but headaches for everyone involved.

5. At the top toolbar
Go to
Tools then click security, then custom. There should be a list of boxes to check with options for active x. See if that helps, I'm no expert but that may help.
