Well, the "Health Bill" is Gonna be Law

Now we will likely see the following happen:

-there won't be any "fixes," as we were promised were waiting in the wings - what was passed is what we got

-the GOP will continue to lie and shoot themselves in the foot over this bill

-the Dems will fail to make the numerous strong arguments available to them - about rolling back the coverage of kids with pre-existing conditions, etc

-the executive branch (read: Obama) will make sure little happens in interpreting this bill to run contrary to corporate interests

-NARAL and their ilk will continue in the veal pen, as abortion rights are gutted yet again, with only the faintest of bleats from these groups, now shown to be mere suckers at the teat of power

-other liberal groups from Move-On down the line, will lose any credibility as a result of also bleating in the veal pen

-2010 will still be a bad year for Dems - will women, unions, GLBT, the young, and us old time liberals hit the bricks for this, and other, Obama-Dem policies? Nope.

Yeah, the Repubicans looked bad, but they did get a GOP Insurance company bill passed with their antics.
