While I was responding to the other thread about "a live one" on Facebook, I got a FB update, and made my first de-friending.

An old school friend who just friended me barely two weeks ago. He warned me right off the bat that he was "very conservative" and "very Christian," and that I may not want to be his friend. Nonsense, I said, I have many Republican friends, and I don't have to bring politics into every relationship. Barely two days went by before he started sending me links to Pat Buchanan articles and some radio show by someone names Laura Roth, and all sorts of crazy tea-bagger shit. Well, he just posted: "Abortion is MURDER! SO, say hellooooo to the slaughter of the innocent! This health care bill is all about FREE ABORTIONS FOR EVERYONE!!" I responded "My first de-friending. I can tolerate a lot, but I cannot tolerate stupidity and willful ignorance. Buh-bye."

What the fuck is wrong with people? When did "Moron" become a religion?

i knew in the early 80s. he's now a bishop in charge of 40 churches. a few times i've debated abortion with him and his friends. our conversations have always been civil.
