Until Rachel spelled it out I had never connected Waco & Tim McVeighs bombing as being on the same day. I had certainly not known it was the date of Paul Revere's famous ride or that the great San Fran Earthquake of 1906 happened that day...

So by picking the date of Waco, and McVeighs attack on the federal bldg, and situating the rally in Ft Hunt park - the closest they could get to Washington with open carry of guns they said - what do they hope to accomplish?

fire at Concord? The beginning for the Revolutionary War? These idiots are so unstable anything could be on their minds. On Edit: Yes, it was the first battle of the armed conflict as a result of the original Tea Party in Boston. This is scary.

As Rachel said, if they are trying to use the threat of violence to influence the political process, they're in deep trouble. It will really hurt their image because they will be seen as the extremists.
