Charles Grassley Already Claiming Credit For Part Of Health Care Legislation!!!

Sen. Chuck Grassley, ranking member of the Committee on Finance, with jurisdiction over taxes, has worked to hold tax-exempt hospitals accountable for the federal tax benefits they receive. The health care legislation signed into law yesterday includes provisions Grassley co-authored to impose standards for the tax exemption of charitable hospitals for the first time.

UNBELIEVABLE. Has all the fire and brimstone of this Armageddon even stopped falling yet? This motherfucker would have been at Sodom and Gommorah setting up a salt shop!

3. If one or two Republicans had voted for the bill, I wouldn't call it bipartisan legislation
However, if a majority of Republicans claims some kind of credit for it, then maybe we could call it "bipartisan support after the fact"?

5. Questions for grassley
Edited on Wed Mar-24-10 01:59 PM by Bluzmann57
He has been questioning the "cash for clunkers" program and whether or not it really created jobs. It was sponsored by a Democrat, Bruce Braley of my district. Grassley recieved around $239,000 in subsidies from the USDA in a 10 year period starting in 1996. How many jobs were created by that money which presumably went to his farming operation? I bet he has no answer for that. So grassley, stfu unless you are prepared to answer questions about your shady dealings in the past. He has done nothing for the people of Iowa unless they are staunch RNCers and/or insurance execs. So he needs to go and go this year. The Dems have three declared candidates against him, Krause, Fiegen, and Conlin. Any of the aforementioned candidates will be an improvement over ol' Chuckles, even Conlin who is a DLC type candidate.
