The recent debacle in Ottawa regarding Anne Coulter cancelling her speech....
A most sincere apology from a Canadian

Dear Anne;
When we, the proud north, true and free, refused Winnie Mandela entry into our fine land, you may of thought - there is some cool dudes up there.
When we, strong with our convictions, refused George Galloway entry into our border's, you probably jumped to the conclusion that we Canadians were willing lambs following our big brother to the south.

On behalf of free thinking, beer touting, hockey loving, toque wearing folks who live in the great white north, We are sorry. You misunderstood. Our government does not speak for all of us. Sorry about that. We really should have allowed George Galloway in, and we certainly should have allowed Winnie Mandela in too. We probably should not of let you in, but your here now.

I am a bit confused, I must admit. For all your tough talking rhetoric - you are too afraid to speak to us because we allow protesters to express themselves with free speech. Sorry about that. We really don't like you at all. Sorry about that too.

But I think what I am most sorry of, is that you, in all your rabid, potty mouth, gotcha diatribe - that you really think it is entertainment. Up here - it ain't. We love HOCKEY - get it? We aren't like you, we don't "get" you, and because we have free speech up here - we get to tell it right at you. If you can't handle the truth - get out of the hockey rink. I did not know you were such a coward - an opportunistic coward who only wants to sell books. Oh well, there are those who talk a pretty talk of gameplay and stickhandling, but when the puck hits the ice, all that talk can't protect you from a clean crosscheck.

We will sure be interested to see this court battle work out - I am sure Ahmadinajad will be rooting for ya....I'm not sure we let him in either......

Interesting piece from the CBC website. So far, it looks like Coulter's security shut things down. Apparently, like whosinpower says, she is a coward, afraid of free speech.
