And if you don't "get" monster trucks - it's your loss. A show that is so fan, and kid oriented - that the fans are invited to come early for a close-up look at the trucks and free autographs from the drivers. Being a snob is not politically effective. Look at the demographics - the goobers who are plotting insurrection aren't out at family entertainment events - they are too broke from buying ammunition. If you had said "pistol ranges", "gun shows", "Machine gun shoots", or "militia training", you'd have been more accurate.
BTW - Monster Jam, the largest monster truck circuit, is owned by Feld Entertainment - Who also owns Ringling Brothers Circus.

I don't know if I want to lend too much credence to this phenomena. I mean, giving them a lot of attention and expectations could be counterproductive. Sensationalizing it, when we are not sure how far this will go yet, is probably a form of encouragement.

You know what children will do when they need attention. They'll get it one way another by good behavior or bad!

From what I have heard/read, we are dealing with some deeply troubled people who have overwhelming anger issues, vindictive personalities, confused thoughts and very little in the way of means to resolve their confusion and ignorance. So, they are looking very hard for targets to project that out on in threatening and even physically violent ways.

I truly pity people who have to work with or live with or near this miserable sods.
