There's a reason the Freepers are picking April 19th for their "2nd amendment rally" in Washington.

It's a Monday... who picks a Monday to hold a rally, unless there's a particular significance to the date?

Here's why:

April 19 & 20 are the high-holy days for the militia whack jobs, that's why.



April 19th, 1995 - Timothy McVeigh murders 168 people in Oklahoma City.

April 19th, 1993 - The 51-day seige on the Branch Davidian compound ends with 81 dead, including David Koresh.

April 20th, 1985 - ATF raid on The Covenant, The Sword, and the Arm of the Lord compound in northern Arkansas.

April 20th, 1889 - Adolf Hitler is born

April 19th, 1861 - A pro-secession mob attacks US troops in Baltimore, Maryland

You do realize that the birth of democracy was triggered by an attempt to impose gun control, right? The events of April 19, 1775 were triggered by an attempt by the British crown to seize arms and powder stockpiled by the colonists in Concord. That has far more significance than any of the events listed by the OP.
