This sleazebag deliberably tried to change the narrative...take the heat off the teabaggers and their many enablers in the House. He not only played the victim card, he played the "anti-semetism" one to boot to milk the sympathy of the beltway pundits and twist things even further. Disgusting. And, as usual, when these shitstains lie, it takes little time to debunk it (thanks to TPM)...but the maxim of "lies run around the world while the truth is putting on its pants" is at work here.

Cantor bought himself a day of coverage and had to do something quick...but he may have, as usual, overplayed as the truth of the "attack" on his office becomes known throughout the day. Methinks the corporate media hates being lied to so blatantly and we'll see plenty of stories today about the attack that wasn't.
