Should I take my parents to be euthanized now? Or wait for Armageddon?

I am faced with a dilemma. Now that health care reform has passed should I take my parents to be euthanized, or do I have to wait for a government death panel to make that decision first?

I guess even having death panels is a moot point anyway since republicans have been saying if the health care bill passed it would lead to Armageddon, the end of the world, complete destruction. So it looks like the government won't even have time to set up Obama's death panels because the world will be destroyed by cataclysmic events started by the vote that finally passed health care reform.

Anyway, if you have any ideas I would appreciate them. I'd like my parents to at least get to see Armageddon. The movie was good, but the real thing should be even better.

Oh yeah, since the 'Rapture' is supposed to accompany Armageddon I hope I don't get beamed up with all those hate-filled, gun-toting, brick-throwing, self-professed 'Christian' right wingers. I would consider spending an eternity with them to be complete HELL.

Is 'sucked up' a quote out of the Bible? LOL!!! I had a Jehovah Witness come by to give me a brochure yesterday and I forgot to ask her about the coming Armageddon. Jehovah Witnesses seem to be experts on Armageddon since they pray for it constantly.

I wonder how the 'end times' really works. Can you say you are 'born again' at the last moment and get beamed up (or sucked up), even though you are a mass murderer? Or if you have helped others all your life will you be tortured to death by a 'loving god' because you didn't say the magic words, 'I am born again'?

It is confusing isn't it? I'm going to go buy a lot of fire extinguishers to get ready. At least I can make my parents a little more comfortable until the 'loving god' burns us all to death.

I know you love your parents as most children do, but it must be gut wrenching to have a father who is a tea bagger. Somewhere through life you managed to 'see the light' so your dad must have done something right during your upbringing.

My Mom used to always be between politically neutral and liberal. But because she lived near my right wing, tea bagging sister her political views changed. My sister would demand that my Mom have her television on Fox all the time and eventually my Mom was worn down and finally succumbed to the vile hatred spewed from that organization. My sister singlehandedly indoctrinated my Mom into believing a lot of that right wing hatred. Slowly, after watching Fox day and night my Mom's look at the world changed for the worse. Because of her advancing age she became very vulnerable to my sister's demands that she watch only Fox.

I have heard of other children who have experienced the same thing, with their parents getting indoctrinated into the world of hatred, racism, anger and fear Fox spews 24 hours a day. It should be considered 'elderly abuse' for a child to force their parents to watch that evil channel. My sister is an extremely abusive person who has no regard for anyone else. She has been a lifelong racist and conservative extremist. She is also selfish and hateful. During the last year of my mom, dad and little brother's lives my 'Christian' sister did nothing to help them. Neither did my older 'Christian' conservative brother. Instead of admiring me for being there day and night for my mom, dad and little brother they even attacked me. But they are good conservative, republican 'Christians'. And they are typical of the tea baggers who show up at those rallies. And even though I was the only caregiver my greed-filled 'christian' sister swooped in at the end to steal all of their possessions. Why are conservative extremists so void of empathy and compassion. And why do they attack people who have those basic human traits?

BTW, any time I go to a restaurant, cafe or even my credit union and see a television with Fox on I tell the management, or I write on the credit card receipt that I will NEVER return if they have Fox on their televisions. A banking institution that uses space in Walmart had their televisions on Fox and I complained to the bank and to Walmart. Within days the channel was changed and Fox was taken off. I urge everyone else to do the same. One person can make a difference...

103. One, old program

I use a very old version of Photoshop Elements (3.0), which has very few filters, etc. I spend many hours airbrushing multiple layers (and laughing my ass off as I paint), then I blend them together and combine them again with new layers into a collage ... I probably could do things a lot easier and faster with a new, full version of Photoshop that has loads of filters and other doodads, but that would change the whole creative process. I have Gimp for both OS X and LINUX Ubuntu, but I haven't bothered to use it yet.

Thanks again for your compliments. Though I'll never be an artist like Hieronymus Bosch or Frida Kahlo, I, nevertheless, enjoy making satirical pix. My formal training was in music and science, but I was raised by an artist, so I dabbled in just about every medium. :)

Thanks for sharing the secrets to creating your hilarious artwork. I laughed out loud at your latest Billo masterpiece! Hilarious. It sounds like creating artwork is like therapy for you. I'm just glad you share it with the rest of us. I worked for 15 years at NASA and I created my own video production facility. I was a one man operation where I would record events, edit the tapes, use narrators, write scripts and do computer graphics. I used Photoshop, but only occasionally. I used other graphics programs that were part of the editing system I used. I haven't used Photoshop Elements, but I know the full version of Photoshop can be hard to completely master.

I haven't heard of Hieronymus Bosch or Frida Kahlo and will try to look them up. I've always admired those who could make satirical pictures of current events. I love to write, but discovered when writing online most people prefer short blurbs and are turned off by essay-type stuff. That's why I like political satire in picture format. A picture truly is worth a thousand words as your work so adeptly exemplifies.

I started using an iTouch I bought for myself for Christmas a few months ago and discovered all the cool graphics programs I could install on it. I love using a touch screen to create stuff. When I had my video production facility I had to use a mouse to manipulate an image. It could get exasperating at times, but being able to actually touch the image makes it so much easier. But I'm a bit disappointed with the low resolution most of the apps on the iTouch operate at. I know it's just a matter of time before I get one of the new Apple iPads because it would be so much easier using such a large 'palette' to create things. And hopefully the applications for it would produce better resolutions.

And don't get the Kung Po chicken because Armageddon will be hot enough. It's amazing that the latest Harris Poll showed that 24% of republicans believe Obama is the Antichrist. But since you pointed it out, how can Obama be the antiChrist if the Rapture hadn't occurred? Or has the Rapture happened and I didn't get beamed up? Oh well, can I catch the next Rapture?
