Records Tie Strickland Lawyer To Canceled Drug Sting
COLUMBUS, Ohio — What began as an aborted drug sting at the Governor's Residence in Bexley now appears to involve one of the closest advisors to Gov. Ted Strickland.
New information uncovered by 10 Investigates reveals a pattern of communication between Strickland's office, and those who warned a woman suspected of trying to leave drugs for inmates working the residence grounds in January.
While the woman denies being involved in such a plot, the Ohio State Highway Patrol did have a plan to catch her in the act of a felony, 10 Investigates' Paul Aker reported.
But at the last minute, Ohio Public Safety Director Cathy Collins-Taylor told the patrol to find the woman and give her a warning.
