I need some Facebook warriors

Okay, here is the thing. My friends and family, especially on facebook are overwhelmingly republican. Overwhelmingly.
I've pruned some of my friends down that I didn't need on there but I have deleted all I can delete.

I am looking for some more facebook friends who would be willing to "back me up" if the situation would ever arise, and I will do the same for them on their page.

I just joined one of the FOR healthcare groups on facebook that someone posted here. one of my family members wrote

THUMBS DOWN THUMBS DOWN BOOO BOO THUMBS DOWN

constantly... three post under saying the same thing above and I had to delete it. That would have been nice to have seen her smacked down by someone (she is one of those currently living off the gov't but doesn't trust the gov't ignorant fools).

anyway, if anyone is interested please PM me, and I will give you my page, and if anyone is in the same boat as me and wants some back up I would love to come to your page and back you up if you need it. We need to stop backing down from these of idiots!

I've even had to delete some of his posts when he goes after my liberal friends. If you look closely at the message before you post, you will see a little lock. This allows you to control who sees that particular message. You do have to put people into groups first, but once you do, you can use this feature like it's nobody's business.

5. Why bother?

You think of it as "backing down" but really it's like trying to argue with someone who still thinks the Earth is flat.

They only do it because they know it makes you and other liberals mad. Best thing to do is to just unfriend them. Don't even block them, just unfriend them. If they say anything about it just say "Sorry, you were just saying a bunch of weird stuff on there." and when they ask for examples just says, "I don't know it was just dumb" and leave it alone.

Seriously, imagine what you would do if you had someone write on your Facebook thing "one day bacon will rule the world!" and "I'm down with bacon!! fry me up a slice!!" and it was really annoying and just stupid. You have to think of them the same way. Would it make any difference to argue with someone saying these ridiculous things about bacon every day? No because they aren't rational. Same way with your Repube friends and family members. They're irrational. You can't win because it isn't about them being right or wrong, it's about them being loud.

7. My advice: change your name, last name, at least, and then

try to get adopted, or maybe just try to live your life without being bothered by your relatives.

Delete you page, start again, we so don't need a family that screws you over, makes you sick, and does
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for your mental health.

There is no need to be somewhere on the internet being a target for hatred.

Turn your life around, at least in a cyber way, you can still show up for Christmas and Thanksgiving and even Easter, just don't hit yourself on the head every other day of the year.

Account ---> Privacy ----> Profile Information, now a list comes up.

Look at the last 4 on that list. On the right side, you use the pull down menu for each to customize so that you disallow them from even posting to your wall.

To everyone that PM'ed me I just added you, as long as I got your names right on facebook lol. So if you didn't get a friend request from me just let me know.

I know there is a hide feature and I have that going too lol. But there are some people who I really do want to know what's going on in their life, and like them..but from time to time they are rude. I have everyone on hide that I can, and I have deleted. I love FB most of the time, but when there is anything going on politically it makes me dread logging in. I really don't talk about politics much at all on FB, but if I do feel like posting something here and there i want to knowing that if I get bombarded by idiots someone will have my back. And like I said, I will have yours too, if anyone needs it. I'm good at arguing lol.
