Republicans threaten life and limb...
I don't recall any Democrats forming hate groups to retaliate against Republicans when Bush was president. I believe, at the core of what the right-wingers are saying, you'll find that they believe they can break any rule if they feel they have just cause. Sort of like a Mel Gibson movie. However, behind their motivations are the usual discrimination factors that would cause them severe trouble if it were truly understood. So, until we challenge them on legal terms, they will continue to break the rules -- because they can. No one will retaliate against them, until somebody gets hurt.

1. So what's it gonna take anyway?
A shot fired at the POTUS? A congressman killed before somebody starts taking this shit seriously? Call this what it is; domestic terrorism. Lock these psychos who leave these horrible messages and propose violence and shooting out windows up in jail.

3. Exactly what you said.
Take these threats seriously. But, put it in context. IF someone calls to leave you a message, take it seriously. If someone writes to relay death threats, take it seriously. But on the blogs, I'm not so sure. You just need to use your judgment. One threat off the cuff might just mean a bad morning. But lots of threats shows a pattern. ANd if the threats incite others to take action, that is for sure a signal.

2. Dems have been acting like abused children for so long ..
.. and trying to be like Reeps that
the Reeps just keep on acting like bullies
and abusers.

Dems basically have no center, no backbone.
They will bend to anything.

Even the healthcare bill is basically Reep... but
Reeps don't care. They just see more opportunity
to act like bully bosses.

As long as we tolerate it, it won't stop... and as
long as we continue to cave to Reeps, it won't stop.

4. We have an element of this country, not so small, that is psychotic and
feels empowered by the current discourse. I think it is a highly dangerous situation, yet under freedom of speech they continue and continue.

IMO many have crossed way over the line, but how is that line defined and who defines that line.

Depending upon the people in power at any particular time the definitions could swing wildly. In fact, in a RW government they would probably declare that DU has crossed the line.
