Remember, the Teabaggers are largely old dudes, retired and bitter about a world that doesn't want them any more. They're going to get tired even faster than the Weathermen and other revolutionary groups did because they don't have youth on their side.

Depressed leftist revolutionaries simply chose smaller battles and hunkered down for 40 years, learning how to survive. Unfortunately for the baggers, all they have left is anger that will eventually turn inward into depression.

It's hard not to feel a little sorry for some of them, knowing where they're coming from and where they're headed. Of course, I just wish they'd shut off their Pox News and AM radios and learn how to cope with the world as it is. They're not going to do that, of course. I don't see a very happy ending for any of them and I feel sorry for people who work in nursing homes who will have to deal with all their rage.

They'll gain several, but not enough to take control of anything. Getting Democratic votes out in a midterm can be difficult, so we're bound to lose some.

The Teabaggers will obediently line up and vote for the Rs whether they're wingnuts or not.

Gaining seats, or at least holding them, can't hurt, and I remember an election up here where the governing party lost 167 of their 169 seats in Parliament. Not that that's likely at all down there, but sometimes reversals sneak up on people.
