That reminds me of when Jesse Helms was on Larry King and took calls. A guy with a souther accent called in and said something like, "I want to personally thank you for everything you've done to keep the N-word down." Helms then went on to apologize and said he would have had his mouth washed out with soap for saying that when he was a kid. My ass! Helms knew who his supporters were and probably had no problem with the word when he was with his racist buddies.
